LEXUS Design Pavillion

This project was commissioned by Lexus as part of Melbourne’s Spring Racing Carnival.

Soon after Lexus was announced as ambassadors for the design industry, we were commissioned to work along a shortlist of leading Melbourne designers and create an installation that was cohesive with Lexus’ new design direction.

The design brief needed to be coherent with spring racing as well as inspired to Lexus’ new range of high end car models.

A noctilucent dream concept emerged and expresses the designer’s need to dream in order to create. Overall it is designed to evoke a sense of imagination through the play of light, shade and fluid organic forms synonymous with Lexus’ Japanese heritage.

The focus of this project was conceptual through to design development, construction and installation.
